I am Jacob

 

I'm the CEO and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at JAND Fitness & Performance Academy. Since 2011, I've coached everyone from children to elite athletes to move better, feel better, and perform better. In 2020, I was offered the opportunity of working with the Adelaide Crows and their Darwin-based players, which over the following few seasons included a grand final appearance and a premiership 🏆 

I specialise in running for runners and athletes of running-based sports.

Running Mechanics 101 Course

RunFit offers a variety of specialised training programs to suit runners of all levels and aspirations:


Speed Program: Targeted at increasing your running speed and improving sprint performance through specialised drills and workouts.

Agility Program: Designed to enhance agility, quickness, and overall movement efficiency, crucial for navigating the dynamic nature of running-based sports like football, basketball and tennis.

Couch to 5K: Perfect for beginners starting their running journey, this program eases you into the world of running with a structured, gradual approach.

5K Race Program: Designed for runners looking to improve their 5K performance, this program focuses on speed, endurance, and race strategy.

10K Race Program: Ideal for those aiming to conquer the 10K distance, offering a balanced blend of speed work, endurance training, and strength conditioning.

Half Marathon Building Program: For runners who want to run a half marathon in the future and need to build up to the distance. This program is for runners who are currently running between 10 and 30km per week.

Half Marathon Race Program: For runners preparing for a half marathon, this program is for runners who are already running at least 30km per week. It covers everything from long runs to tempo workouts, ensuring you’re ready to run your best half marathon.

Marathon Building Program: For runners who want to run a marathon in the future and need to build up to the distance. This program is for runners who are currently running between 30 and 60km per week.

Marathon Race Program: Comprehensive training for full marathon runners to run your best marathon, including detailed plans for mileage buildup, recovery, and peak performance. This program is for runners who are already running at least 60km per week.

Ultra-Marathon Building Program: Advanced training tailored for ultra-distance athletes, focusing on stamina, resilience, and mental toughness in order to build up your capacity to run the required distance. This program is for runners who are already running at least 60km per week.

Ultra-Marathon Race Program: Thorough training for ultra endurance runners preparing for an ultra marathon, including detailed plans for mileage buildup, recovery, and peak performance. This program is for ultra endurance runners who are already running at least 100km per week.

Fit to Compete: Don’t have a goal in mind yet and just want to keep running fit? Fit to compete is designed to enhance your strength and conditioning between events and training programs until you’re ready to commit to a specific race and goal.
